Groves Family Funeral Directors is a business entirely owned and run by husband and wife team, Nigel & Claire Groves.
Nigel was born in Stratford-upon-Avon and grew up in Birmingham. After spending time travelling, he returned to the UK to find his parents in Brixham, Devon. Here he settled for some 20 years.
Claire, having been born and bred in Weston-super-Mare is a bit more of a home bird who has travelled somewhat, but has always come back home to Weston.
'Between us we have four children. Maddie is 26, Lillie is 22, George is 17 and Charlie is 13. We also have two Grandsons, and a grand daughter so it’s looking as though things won’t be getting any quieter any time soon.'

Nick is a deeply valued member of the Groves Family Funeral Directors team. As a husband, father, and grandfather, his life experiences are rich with service and compassion. A retired police officer and foster parent, Nick truly understands the importance of community and brings that same sense of care and dedication to his role. Charlie, our longest-serving team member at Groves Family Funeral Directors, is an established actor who brings a unique blend of professionalism and creativity to his role. His wealth of experience and dedication have made him an integral part of our team over the years. Ray is a valued member of the Groves Family Funeral Directors team. Known for his creative engineering skills, Ray has an impressive ability to turn his hand to just about anything. A long-standing member of the biking community, Ray’s passion for motorcycles is matched by his love for animals, making him a unique and cherished part of our team. We are pleased to introduce the newest member of our team, John, at Groves Family Funeral Directors. His compassionate nature, combined with a strong sense of community, makes him an invaluable addition. Outside of work, you’ll often find John on the open road, embracing his love for biking. John is deeply involved in charity initiatives within the biking community, regularly participating in charity rides to raise funds for various causes.
